I have friends that are Christians, Jews and Muslims. I after studying all of them and reading the texts years ago do not ascribe to any but I found all of them to have considerable violence within those books both the Bible and the Koran. I can see either, if taken literally, as being a catalyst for a disenfranchised group or individual with some antisocial tendencies thrown in to do horrific violence like we saw today. My point here is the religion cannot be totally held responsible nor without blame. It is just a piece of the mix. Religions need to do a better job of accepting some responsibility when terrorists claim the religion as a reason for the mayhem.
