I have great news and horrific news! Please read all...Horrific: A 4 year old child was killed by a child in Bucharest yesterday by a dog when its grandmother allowed it to wander off onto private property and it was savaged by owned guard dogs. This was the excuse Romanians needed for mass slaughter. The killings began in Bucharest, today in Timosora and tomorrow all Craiovas 500 shelter dogs will be butchered....later i will post details of how we must all raise our voices and prevent this from happening like we did in June when the butcher went in! Dogs are being killed by civilians, military and dog catchers in the streets. This is what we rescue from! All passported dogs ready to go must leave Romania asap! anyone with a spare room willing to foster please contact me!! Good News: Today I homechecked Andrea Gatehouse and had a good natter and a cuppa too :) I can confirm she will be the proud mummy of one of the mum and 6 pups I have arriving on Oct 19th. And she has amazingly donated £270 today. £20 towards Sheiras transport and food and foster money and £250 towards food foster and transport etc...of her pup. Thats alot less on my credit card! Thankyou also to Su Shaw for your £3 donation. This brings the total left to raise for Sheira to $46. I can also confirm that another lovely family passed homecheck today with flying colours and will update you all when i know of a confirmed adoption. Also....Sheira has been taken to safety in foster in Bucharest! We had to feed vaccinate etc... on the streets because this private shelter wouldnt allow unvaccinated dogs in. But now she is safe :) before coming to me on october 3rd. Just in time given the massacre happening! Another homecheck tomorrow :)....
