I have had a blast in Richmond. I spent the day shopping and eating in Cary Town, the Fan, and took a 3 hour walk downtown and chilled. I relaxed. Ive taken time for myself to reflect on my life this weekend. I am going to prove to myself that being single is ok. In 11 days I ended a relationship, found an apartment, adopted a dog to be my companion, and acquired two new contracts. Today I will attend a wedding of my new friend Michael Clapp, and head home to my new life. Ive made some new friends, and Ive learned who my real friends are. Ive missed my mom and dad and family, and now I have a home to have them come visit where they will be comfortable and enjoy themselves. A lot of things I am going to miss about my life I had, but looking forward to redefining myself, losing weight, and allowing people to want to invest their time into a friendship with me sounds better than staying where you are expected to be who they want you to be. When youre told that they settled for you.... Its time to go. And life had been patiently waiting for me. Here I come.
