I have had a wonderful day in Bugoye Village, sitting among relatives, singing, dancing, praising the Lord for the marvelous Sserukenya Family which has stood strong for 83 years now since one man Timosewo Lugwana Sserukenya chose to become Omulokole and raise his 18 children as Christians. The family tree has since grown to become a very big kin’s group of hundreds of people….my husband belongs to the third generation of the Sserukenyas and I qualify to be a member of this amazing family by marriage. Every year around August members in this great family come from far and near to commemorate what is termed as Bugoye day…..for once I had a stress free moment. As a family ritual, Jjaaja Sserekenya Lugwana Henry Wassanyi Luzinda II has this year declared and recorginised I and my brother in-law Samuel Bagenda (Dr. Bbosa) as the most outstanding Members of the Family.(To qualify for Jjaaja Ssreukenyas recognition a family member must have done things that benefit society).....WHAT A NICE DAY…Thank you Lord.
