I have had it with the police bashing!!! To all who criticize and second guess...go to the academy, get a job and go work as a police officer/sheriff/border patrol agent. Walk in their boots. Walk their beat, drive their territory, answer their radio calls and protect their communities. On top of that - give up your holidays, go ahead and miss birthday parties, anniversaries and weekend soccer games. Deal with separating the horrors you see at work and joys of your family life. Watch your peers suffer from depression, suicide, stress, death and divorce at rates far exceeding the general public. Deal with the public scrutiny, opinionated press, protesters and criminals who have more protection and rights than you do. Also, be sure you are able to make lightning fast decisions in the blink of an eye based on what you perceive and be ready to defend those decisions. Once you have done all that....then you can criticize, protest and second guess.
