I have heard some awful potential news regarding our current Grand Traverse YMCA CEO. Apparently, our illustrious Executive Committee has enforced a tough choice for our CEO. This all comes without input from current YMCA Members. We, the members, have the most to lose. Because with the potential ousting of the CEO, comes the possibility that we lose an entire family who has committed themselves to serving out community. True stewards of the YMCA commitment. Shame on this board. Shame on them for not including the members in a decision that impacts far more than one mans job. We the members are there, everyday. They are no where to be seen, but yet make decisions that will impact our children and their extracurricular activities, as well as their parents. For those who want their voices heard, a public investigation to occur, please call the Record-Eagle at 231-946-2000, option #8, and leave a message that you believe in our Y, not the board or their choices. They took away our voice, now they should answer.
