I have hiked successfully -- and alively! -- in 120+-degree-F - TopicsExpress

I have hiked successfully -- and alively! -- in 120+-degree-F sunny conditions in Grand Canyon. This is how I did it. 8 litres of water clipped to my shorts belt eyelets. And I drank it as I hiked. Bandana soaked in water tied around the nape of my neck. Long-sleeved cotton t-shirt soaked in water. Wide-brimmed hat to carry my own shade with me and shade my head. Zip-loc packet of salted mixed nuts and an orange or two for electrolyte replacement. Always carry rain gear for thunderbursts. It may not look celebrity fashion cool, but it works and you can exert yourself in 120+-degree-F conditions -- without dying from it.
