I have lived here in Rancho Cucamonga for about two weeks shy of 20 years, and only this morning did I connect the dots enough to wonder about Victoria. We have roadways with Victoria in the title. We have parks with Victoria in the title. We have major shopping destinations with Victoria in the title. As I was driving on Victoria Street this morning, it suddenly hit me...who was Victoria? Was it Queen Victoria? Was it Victoria Barkley (Big Valley)? Was it Victor, Victoria? My moneys on the Queen, or else the wife or daughter of one of the prominent pioneers of the area. Which one of the area historians (and I am lucky enough to have at least two of the best ones on my friends list) can provide the answer?
