I have never been very good at blowing out an egg without breaking it but, I managed to do one with a little chip off one end. After filling it with mustard the chip fit back nicely and if I lay it in the nest box gingerly it should hold. I took it out to the coop with two wooden eggs and all three girls came in but the culprit left again not interested in the eggs in the nest. Penelope proceeded to tuck one of the wooden ones under her and set. Kitty was looking at the other wooden one in a different nest and wondering where it came from but not pecking it. I took the egg bomb back in and put it in the fridge since it was too hard for me to accomplish it. I will save it till morning. Now my questoon is how do I guarantee Abigail breaks it? Should I put her in a crate with it or just put it in the nest box and supervise to be sure she blows it up? I must admit whe filling the shell with mustard I felt the frustration fall away and this evil mad scientist laugh came out.
