I have never spoken on this GYEEDA saga. I was waiting for this time and now, the time has come for me to speak. President Mahama was accused of being corrupt, award contracts for no work done when indeed the program GYEEDA was initiated by the npp under the name NYEP. His excellency the President on suspicion that, some dealings had gone on, and some monies unwisely mismanaged, decided to probe the program. It turns out that, some dealing had gone on and corporates must be made to face the law. As we speak, people have been charge and they are in court to face the law. What excites me to come out, is the Presidents effort to retrieve every money paid to contractors for no job done. We all know the current state of our economy. So I ask, should these contractors be charged and prosecuted for stealing, corruption, fraud or whatever, how are we going to retrieve these monies from them. You may not like some of the actions of President Mahama, but today, out of that idea, ¢320m saved to the state. The various companies asked to pay back monies wrongfully paid to them, have paid all paid back those monies.
