I have no idea why. After a week full of drama, difficulty, and effort... I have finally been sleeping well. And sleeping soundly. But I felt something... gently. On my face. It woke me up. Copa was doing this pat pat thing... gently. On my cheek. With her paw. She did it once. Twice... three times, and I roused. I trust her, so I got up, rubbed my eyes, and followed her. (She saved me from a fire, once. I dont take her warnings lightly.) She ran back out of the bedroom, through the living area, and pawed at the balcony door. I opened the door, and she ran out onto the balcony, and then sat and looked at ... the moon. She sat squarely in the centre of the balcony, looked directly up at the moon, and then she looked back at me. I asked her Whats up, babe?... and she looked pointedly at the moon... and then directly into my eyes. Then... back at the moon. Tonight, the moon is a gorgeous crescent. It makes me happy to see it. But I have NO idea why she wanted me to come share it with her... ... but Im glad she did. Its beautiful. So we sat in the hammock, in the quiet... and we watched the crescent moon sail over our heads. I smiled into the dark, and I asked Copa if she was happy. It might have been the tone of my voice, or the fact that I was awake and talking to her at a time I am usually asleep. ... but she thumped her tail, several times. She said Yes. And I heard it. #JMOG
