I have no intention of getting into a philosophical or religious battle but many people do not understand that faith is not based in human logic but faith surpasses and defies it. It is the conviction of the spirit that moves so many to do so much. As Christians, we follow the teachings of the bible and are led by the example of Jesus Christ. I will add, that most of us try to walk that example out every day and even though we all fall short, it is that desire to be more Christ- like that drives us. What many of you see as people giving this woman money, others of us see the divine work of Jesus Christ moving through the hearts and spirits of His followers. It is the conviction of the Holy Spirit of God that guides us to love others, to carry others burdens, and to be His hand extended. It is like we are the remote and the Holy Spirit of God is our fingers. The remote is useless until it is picked up off of the coffee table and is activated to work by our fingers pushing the buttons. For all of you who hate or do not understand, I have to say....These people are offering help, love, and assistance to someone in need. Why is that a bad thing? If people are being charitable and doing good works, why should you care what drives them? Just accept that and move on. All you are trying to do is tear down something good...and for what?
