I have not posted any updates on dad for awhile because nothing has really changed. It has just been a lot of up and down and back and forth between CCU and rehab. Every time he gets a little better they send him to rehab and he gets worse. He has now been in the hospital for about 4 weeks since his 5 way bypass. His chest is still open with an inserted wound vac. He is on the rehab floor in the hospital but cant do the rehab. He is scheduled to be closed up on the 11th if he is strong enough. The problem is not so much his heart now but his lungs, bowels, and fractured chest. He struggles to get enough oxygen and is in constant pain from the open chest and cracked ribs where the titanium plates tore loose when they originally closed him up. They have to keep him on high doses of pain meds to get any sleep at all which is not much. Mom has been by his side constantly but they both still need your prayers. We are praying and believing for his full recovery.
