I have noticed a very disturbing pattern. Every time I try to defend president Zuma, I end up with egg on my face. I can write an update at 5am in the morning defending something that I strongly believe is misunderstood or blown out of proportion, then by the time I log onto Facebook at 1pm or so, he has done or said something that is indefensible. For example, on that issue of Malawi, I had written a status update that very morning saying hes misunderstood, hes a traditionalist, not a tribalist. Then a few hours later, he utters regressive regionalist sentiments. Today I wake up asking people why they hate him, saying hes not as bad as hes made out to be, then a few hours later he decides to express contempt for the toiling masses by being arrogant on an issue close to the hearts of tax payers. Its constant that whenever I say something nice about him, or defend something I believe people misunderstood, he either affirms what they were saying or he does something dodgy. I have serious bad luck where hes concerned, and I always come across like a serious idiot because no matter how convincing my arguments defending him may be, a few hours later, I end up looking foolish. Yho!
