I have plenty of thinking time on the way to work and back home. For some reason today, I remembered the coffee pot - a percolator - that I got in my wedding shower, many, many moons ago. I put the stem in, added the water and basket (aluminum, I believe), put coffee in the basket, and plugged it in. It drew the water up the stem and through the ground coffee. It had a clear knob on the lid that you could see the coffee popping in. When it stopped, the coffee was ready. This was before Mr. Coffee. I, of course, wasnt more than a child myself. Im not friends with my first hubby here, so if you know him, ask him if he remembers my making coffee to fill his thermos to take to duty with him. The strange thoughts that come into an idle mind...
