I have praised the LiveSTRONG at the Maquoketa YMCA many times since I became a participant in its initial class last spring. I am now volunteering with the 2nd class. Forget the physical aspect of the program. What I witnessed today, the support, compassion, encouragement and friendship of a group of survivors (and their leaders) for a fellow survivor and FIGHTER.......it was overwhelming! If you know of a cancer survivor that could benefit from this program, PLEASE encourage them to look into it! If your local Y doesnt have a LiveSTRONG program, PLEASE encourage them to get one started!!! Feeling Overwhelmed, sad, hopeful, scared, blessed, motivated and too may other feelings to list!
