I have read two articles recently that have said that the only demographic among which Southern Baptists have seen an increase in baptisms is children 5 and under. 5 and under! Are 3, 4, and 5-year-olds really capable of understanding their sinful condition, repenting of that sin, and turning to Jesus by faith? Really? Are we really practicing believers baptism, or are we just teaching kids to say a prayer and ask Jesus into their hearts? Are any other Southern Baptists out there as disturbed by this as I am?
