I have really tried to avoid this conversation, only because my response will anger many, upset a few and be lukewarm received by others...... There have been many police shooting across OUR country, and the number of Black men/boys are troubling, to the point there needs to be some conversation between law enforcement, community leaders, victim families and the citizens of our diverse communities. I have been in Law enforcement since 1987, and I have seen the all side point fingers, give excuses and rebuke blame. Officer need to be better trained to deal with the diverse citizens within there community. Citizens should attempt to take control of their neighborhoods. Not allow a few bad people poison the harmonious relationship of those who want to live in crime free world. Community Leaders should stop using these incident to bring attention to themselves in order to boost their political ambitions. Every police officer dont have a will to kill nor is every black male a suspect. I have witness in my community 3 police shooting, two were white officer black victims one black officer black victim. During this same time 25 black on black killings and not one protest, not one case where there were a witnesses who came forth....... I stay prayed up, I talk to the young people in my community and I trained new officers. Hopefully things here will get better. What are you doing? Hopefully not destroying your community in protest.
