I have seen 5 or 6 people post a photo today about fast-food accepting food stamps. I understand that it is a governmental program, tax payers pay for it..... blah blah blah But I dont think a lot of you understand that there are a lot of honest hard working people that get food stamps too. Let say Jack and Diane with there two kids both mom and dad work 40 hours a week at their barley minimum wage jobs. They pay their rent, electric, water, trash, phone, car payment, and auto insurance. Now Bills are payed and they have enough money left for gas, and essential ( tp, soap, shampoo ect.) They qualify for FS and needing to feed the family they do indeed get them. Now lets say they get $600.00 a month in FS.... That equals out to just over $6 per person per meal. Not including snacks or major holidays. And trust me $600 is a generous amount (most DO NOT get that)... but lets say Jack and Diane clip coupons catch sales and can manage to be able to have $15/$25 left at the end of the month (because they are responsible people) why is it so wrong for them to use that $15/$25 in FS (their food budget) to take little Billy and Sally to McDonalds for a burger and fries?
