I have seen both my Radiation Oncologist and my Neurologist in the past few days. They both feel Im doing amazing considering surgery was less than 3 months ago and radiation was 6 weeks ago. The MRI showed no evidence of the Cancer being anywhere in the brain! I will have another MRI in months, and another PET scan in November. They are recommending a Neuro-Psychologist due to my memory issues. I will be off my anti swelling medications by the end of next week and as long as I have no headaches or falls, I will stay off of them which is huge due to my lack of sleep since surgery. I have been released from the Neurologist and now am looking to get new glasses. I had to wait until after radiation to get them. Unfortunately, Im not able to return to work for an unspecified amount of time due to the side effects of the radiation. I have struggled with this but I also remind myself this isnt a cut on the hand. This tumor was bigger in diameter than the first one and having seen in on the screen yesterday was very humbling. I was relieved to see the scan done last week knowing that it is in fact gone!!!! Im so grateful for all the support I have and continue to receive both on here, in person and on Caring Bridge.
