I have seen some opinions rolling back and forth on this and I have given it a lot of thought. I dont know what the situation is but the before pictures were taken in the winter when the horses were very hairy. The pictures they took on the trailer as they were leaving absolutely looked like they had gained weight. RVR has an excellent reputation and has rehabbed more horses than we have but even I can tell you that each horse is different. Some horses have issues that are not readily cured by feeding and they may not be apparent even to a veterinarian. If you told me today that every horse I brought in had to gain 1 lb per day or I would face not only public ridicule but criminal charges we would close our doors today. It takes time. And just like people, some horses take more time than others. Before we fan the flames into a roaring inferno, stop and think and give them a chance to sort this out.
