I have signed the petition sponsored by Mike Lee and Ted Cruz urging senators to defund Obama"care" and recommend you to do the same. I have also begun to peruse the Facebook and Twitter pages of Republican senators to thank those who support, urge those who are non-commited, and tactfully challenge those who oppose. As more senators join the pledge to defund Obama"care," it will be easier for others to do the same. Any of us who have been involved in sports or politics understand the significance of momentum. I just finished looking at the Facebook page for one non-committed senator and was impressed by the huge number of individuals asking her to sign the pledge and, going back to July 25, saw only one asking her to not. With this being by far the number one topic on her discussion list, and numbers running well over a hundred to one in favor of defunding, it surely will have an impact. I will also be sending my senators, even though they have signed the petition, an email and making a phone call to thank them and urge them to stand firm.
