I have those moments when I cant find anything to watch and I switch on Teen Mom 3! I cant tell you how many times Ive heard the mom tell the dad thank you for showing up to birthday or for just seeing there child. This makes me angry. So for my number 17 day of thankfulness is to those dads out there that take care of their children, especially the dads that step in and raise someone elses kid as their own. Coming personally from that situation I cant tell you how much I respect my dad! I know it cant be easy and am so thankful for those men that pick up where the sperm donors left off. Im also thankful for those dads who truly care, being married to a man who has missed nothing of Mias life who is right there beside me as amazed as I am to watch this precious gift that was put in our care grow into her own person. Im just so thankful, this show is saying how the father bought the first set of diapers for her on her first birthday. And Im shocked, Corey has paid for everything for not just Mia but me as well, I couldnt imagine having to fight to get help with her basic necessities. To me thats your job it isnt to have the 10 second fun of making them, but its to love and teach them all their life. However what is worse was where a guy had other children, but refused to take care of this other one and was actually a great dad to his other two. Im at a loss I dont get dads who have kids of their own they raise and love and are awesome to, but have another child from a previous relationship or whatever and dont take care of them. Like you can be all you can be to one but not anther???? Its disgraceful! It messes the child up trust me I know how can you love them but not me? Am I different do I need to be better? This is all things Ive experienced. But what the great thing about growing up is realizing what someone means to you. When people ask me who my dad is I say Michael Hastings there like no ur real dad? Which to I reply he is my real dad, my sperm donor on the other hand is so and so. The men that are there for the important things and the rough times and the good times those are the daddies. I just get sick and tired of seeing mommas working their butts of to provide for their kids, because dad walked out, he couldnt handle it, or the dad just never showed up, or worse Im too busy with my other family I aint got time for my other child. Its pittifull. So thank you to all the dads out there who are being all they can be, your a blessing to me!
