I have to say i am a One Direction fan. Be it a guilty pleasure but a pleasure nonetheless. the kind of guilty pleasure when you turn the volume down on the bus incase anyone hears it. BUT their newest song/video is one of the most misogynistic and culturally inappropriate things i have seen spawned from the mainstream in a considerable time period. Blonde, pale-faced, Irish Niall Horan jumps around with a Black African tribe turned props like its the biggest novelty ever. Same goes for Zayn Malik and the East Asian sumo wrestlers. The song is about other men wanting to steal their girl like shes some kind of prime cut of meat shop lifted from the local M&S. lots of people will ask me what did you expect? but i still cant help but be shocked and Im not sure why.
