I have to say that Im psyched theres a big interest in Elric comics as well as the books. Since that was the arena that I became a fan through it still tends to dominate my imagination of Elrics universe even though I adored the books and do see everything else as adaptations from them. My question for everyone who is interested is: what comic, image, or artist defines Elric for you (if there is one)? For me, its the work of P. Craig Russell, who drew the Marvel graphic novel of Elric, which was my second introduction to Elric (after the Conan appearance, which I read as a reprint when I was a kid, third if you count Elrod the Albino from Cerebus :D ). Much of the monthly series that attempted to document all of the books (and included reprints of both the Marvel novel mentioned above and another one Russell had done) using either Russells work or artists who based their styles for the series on his designs. Its his architecture and use of colors that dominated it for me--no one else has ever made Elric as visually magical or been able to show the strong/weak aspects of him (with and without Stormbringer) in the same way. And his insane Yyrkoon defined insane. :) Anyone else?
