I have to say there are some major flaws with these how to be a good training partner for a woman articles. Yes, men can be stronger, but women can also be stronger, more flexible, faster, smarter, more skilled etcetera. If a dude smashes me in a match I figure out a way not to get smashed (as bad) next time. Am I 100 pounds? Nope. To me this makes is harder for me to scramble out from under a huge dude. We all know that with greater skill comes less need for strength, but that does not mean that we arent responsible for our own training. Even female white belts are spazzes. Its time for us as women to stop berating our male counterparts and take ownership of our own jiu jitsu. Are you going to scissor sweep a 200 pound blue belt? Maybe not. But it doesnt mean you cant take his back. And it certainly doesnt make it his fault. And to the women training jiu jitsu for self defense... WHITE BELTS will be the ones attacking you. That being said. I always apologize when I accidentally knee someone.
