I have to tell yall this about today ... While sitting on a bench on the Fairhope Pier waiting on Mary using the restroom, a man, a woman and a little boy with Down Syndrome came walking by. Right as they passed me the little boy turned and was pointing my way. They stopped and the Mom said he wanted to touch the Alabama logo on my shirt. I told him come on buddy. He walked over and instead of touching my shirt, he started lightly tugging and feeling on my beard, he then said I like. My beard is probably 3 or 4 inches long, fairly soft and almost solid white, so its pretty noticeable. The lady said thank you and as they walked on up the pier, the little boy, who had trouble with speaking, turned back towards me and said Woll Tide Woll. Dang, I was close tears, he was just so sweet. I told him Roll Tide Roll Buddy , he smiled and waved bye. Mary came out and we never seen them again .. little feller sure touched my heart though. :)
