I have tried so hard to not voice my political opinion, and I am - TopicsExpress

I have tried so hard to not voice my political opinion, and I am not doing so now. That being said, the educator, mother, administrator, and VOTER in me is disgusted with the continuous attack on people who are doing nothing but using the rights that are granted to them. Teachers showed up in mass in June, sat quietly and respectfully through proceedings and get compared to the invading British Army and now, those same people who cannot legally strike (even when they arent getting paid) and who would never morally abandon thousands of children left in their care (even when they arent getting paid) and who spend thousands of hours and dollars perfecting their craft and attending continuous education (which is mandated but not paid for), these are the people who are being called trolls?! Does anyone wonder why the Governor has spent the last weeks giving money to schools? This rant serves absolutely no purpose other than to educate. As an English teacher I have always challenged my students to check their facts and make an educated decision. I am issuing that same challenge now - to all who ate of legal voting age: check your facts, make an educated decision (whatever decision you reach) and vote. Dont be idle. Dont let it pass you by. Research then vote. Please.
