I have voted in nearly every election since I was eligible. Didnt vote in this one. President Obama has been an enormous disappointment and the devolution of the Democratic Party to GOP-lite is frustrating. The electoral choice is now - militarist oligarchy that is horrible on the environment, diversity and womens issues or militarist oligarchy that is horrible on the environment but so so on diversity and womens issues. And it wont get better. The centrist move of the Democratic Party was largely engineered by Bill Clinton and the DLC after a skein of Presidential Election defeats. That move worked, the Dems won 4 of the next 6 Presidential elections, but that move came at a cost. It created a largely opportunistic Democratic Party that stands for little. That ideological void was masked by the charisma and political acumen of President Clinton, but has become painfully evident under Obama, who is less charisma, flees conflict and not very politically, strategically adept.
