Discussing the film on his Facebook page recently, Hawking declared himself deeply moved, claiming that watching it has given me the opportunity to reflect on my life. Ive been privileged to gain some understanding of the way the universe operates through my work, he said. But it would be an empty universe indeed without the people that I love. The film is complicated but I think it depicts what really goes on in peoples lives when they become victims of a debilitating disease.
