I hear Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma is now a man under siege and risks being impeached and jailed because of Raila. Business community in Kisumu has demanded that he pays all the loses they incurred onSaba Sabaday after declaring the day a National Holiday. Ranguma had on July 7thtold the people of Kisumu not to go to work because the day was declared a National Holiday by Raila, a move that paralyzed business in Kisumu with businessmen counting loses as a result. Mr. Erick Okeyo has threatened to go to court to sue Ranguma for damages as well as initiate an impeachment motion against him through the County Assembly. Okeyo also demands that Ranguma apologizes for misleading residents of Kisumu to observe a fake ‘National Holiday’ that does not exist in the Kenyan calendar. As if that is not enough, Okeyo also wants Ranguma to table a report within 14 days indicating how much the County lost on that day in terms of revenue because of his ‘stupid’ ‘National Holiday’. At least some light is coming to Luo Nyanza. Good move.
