I heard a lot about this program when I was at the Kennedy Center this summer. Met quite a few people who are a part of it in various cities. It sounds like a great idea to me. :) Check it out Robanne, Nicole, Mary - sound familiar? The idea is to create a kind of triangle around arts education, consisting of the classroom teacher, the arts specialist (usually a music or art teacher) and the teaching artist, "integrating the arts with other concepts instead of the arts standing alone on the side."
