I heard the Oregon Pioneer Building on SW Stark between 3rd & 4th is turning into a hotel and all the lower tenants were leaving except for Hubers -- Portlands oldest restaurant. My first long term job in Portland was in the basement -- I was a shipper/packager for a photo company. Sharing a basement with a restaurant meant we left the lights on at night so the first person to arrive didnt have to see critters scatter :/ I felt a little nostalgic and took a few quick photos of yet another changing block. Most street tenants seem to be gone, including Decades vintage. The nail place is still open and Im wondering about Azumano Travel... they have been there forever.
