I helped to save someone today! I was driving down East River from my house when I saw this guy in his car about 75 from the shore. I pulled over and ran down the the water. The car was in the water up to his windows and the guy was moving around in the drivers seat, but he wouldnt respond to my yelling for him, so I called 911 and they sent the first responders. The first Sheriff that got there asked me about any type of boat nearby. I drove home and got my daughters kayak ( about 5 houses away). When I returned with it, a responder decided to walk out to the car without it and he helped the guy walk into shore. Im really glad I saw the guy when I did because it was dusk, and 5 minutes later it was dark out and no one would have seen him after that. It was a good day :)
