I honor my son Gavyn Ross Alexander today on World Diabetes Awareness Day! He is my hero and my heart. I am so proud of the man he has become and the adversity that he faces head on. He is doing so well caring for himself and Chief at school and although I check on him too frequently its only because he is my heart and my baby... I love you Gav and I am so proud of you!!! Today and EVERYDAY I pray for a cure for you, a day when you can eat, drink, and not have to worry about what its going to do to your blood sugar. A day when I can worry about the normal things, and not wake up in a panic for fear that you have not woken up. I pray every day for your life to be a healthy, happy and prosperous life. Full of happy memories and achievements and not marked by hi or lows or my worries about your future body... I love you buddy! I am a proud T1D mom and I will rock blue today, but my heart and soul are always blue in your honor!
