I hope all you amateur and advanced photographers out there are planning on entering our Fun, Fabulous Fotography Contest! If you have any questions about it, please e-mail me and put FFFContest on the subject line. Remember - any age can enter, and any level of photographer can enter - you just need to pick the appropriate category - Amateur or Advanced! Please share this with your friends & family. The more we have entered, the better the prizes......Here are the Rules and Regulations - you KNOW we have to have THOSE! If you’ve visited the Animal Hospital within the last 2 years or so, you’ve noticed The Gallery. This is where we display local artists’ work. It is professionally lit to make the most of the pieces exhibited. We are now offering you a chance to be a part of a photography exhibit! We are sponsoring the Fun Fabulous Fotography Contest, the winners of which will be on exhibit in The Gallery during the months of November and December, 2013. We’re really excited to sponsor this competition! There will be 2 divisions – Amateur and Accomplished. Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and Best of Show, depending on the number of entries we receive. We will start accepting entries June 1. Below, you will find the entry guidelines. If you have any questions, you may e-mail Kyle Cook at animalhospitalofstatesville. May the best “foto” win! 1. There will be a $10 per photograph entry fee. 2. Entries must be mounted on 3/16” foam board or Gator foam. (Check out mastercolorlabs or mpix for places to print and mount your photo.) 3. The smallest print size accepted is 8x12. The largest is 16x24. Anything in between is fine! 4. Photograph MUST be original! You must “own” the original digital file (or film slide or negative), and must produce it, if requested. 5. Photographers of ANY age may enter. Photo must be taken by named entrant. 6. Photo may be of any subject. However, this will be an exhibit also viewed by children, so content must be suitable for viewing by a general audience. We reserve the right to decide if a photograph does not follow this guideline. 7. The back of photo mounting must have the following information on it: Full name of entrant, category – either Amateur or Advanced, e-mail address, phone number, and title of photograph entered. Lack of any of the information could disqualify photograph entry. 8. Entries must be submitted on or before September 30, 2013. 9. Judging will take place starting October 1, and winner will be announced no later than October 26. 10. There will be a First, Second and Third place winner in each category – Amateur and Advanced. There will be 2 Honorable Mentions in each category. There will be one Best in Show winner. Prizes will be awarded after judging is complete. Honorable Mentions will be exhibited, but no prize (except ribbon) will be awarded. 11. All winning photographs will be displayed during the months of November and December in The Gallery. 12. Non-winning entries must be picked up by November 15, 2013, or they will be discarded. Winning entries must be picked up by January 20, 2014, or they will be discarded. 13. Photographs may be mailed or dropped off in our lobby. $10 registration fee per photo must be included at the time photos are submitted. Checks should be made out to our Hospital Administrator, Laura Baker. Please write Photo Contest on the “for” line. If mailing your entry, please send your photograph, securely packaged, to Animal Hospital of Statesville, 181 Mocksville Highway, Statesville, NC 28625. Be sure to include your entry fee of $10 per photograph. Good luck! We look forward seeing all the beautiful photographs you’ll submit!
