Badmouthing an ex doesn’t reflect on her, it reflects on YOU. When people trash their exes, they think they’re conveying: “I want people to know what my ex is like, and this is what I’ve been through, and I definitely deserve compassion.” But what they actually convey is: “My ex hurt me and I’m STILL pissed off about it, and I’m going to badmouth YOU if you hurt me too.” Breakups are bad. Anger and resentment are two nasty emotions that are hard to mask. Well Im not saying that you have to like your ex. You dont even have to love them. But you should know how to behave like an all grown up. Trashing your ex never reflects on their personality as much as it does your own. The backfire effect is just not worth it, believe me. If you really dont care about her anymore? Then just be neutral. Be smart. Detach yourself. Because as what I can see? Youre too affected! #speech101 #speechoftheweek
