I humbly accept the verdict of the people of Khatoed-Laya - TopicsExpress

I humbly accept the verdict of the people of Khatoed-Laya Demkhong. I deserved to lose in this election because this is just the beginning of my political career and I have plenty of opportunity in future. In every election, there are winners and losers and one has to accept it with good grace. The key role of citizens in a democracy is to participate in public life because participation is more important than winning. Failure is a matter of perspective. Many think failure as the opposite of success. But failures are in fact the stepping stones of success. Nothing worthwhile in life has ever been achieved without a series of failures. Failure is one of the ‘pathways to attainment. During the past four months I have experienced the real life in the world of politics and learned great lessons which may shape me into a fine politician in the future. Despite the political views, I have a deep appreciations and great respect for my Opponent Dasho Damcho Dorji (Designated Minister) for his kind support and guidance throughout the campaign period. We shared a great moment together during the election period, sometimes we joked, debate and laughed but no complaints or allegations against each other. This may become exemplary for the candidates of the rest of the constituency. I am happy that I have lost because people of Khatoed-Laya Constituency won by choosing the well experienced candidate in the Ruling side. Nevertheless, I am ever so grateful to all the supporters, well wishers and people of Khatoed-Laya for your wonderful assistance rendered during the election journey. I look forward to your continued support in the future. Thank you and Tashi Delek to All!
