I invite everybody to visit my city Jaipur which has many tourist places, some are listed below with all details Places of visit in Jaipur AMBER - The earlier capital of the Kachhwaha rulers stands on top of zigzag hills. The fort is outstanding with its grand splendor due to setting as it is strong for battles and inside with beautiful palaces. It is remarkable example of Indo islamic architecture, . The grand structure with red sandstone and white marble courtyards and its reflections are eye catching in the lake Maota. The palace was built by Raja Man Singh, who was general in Akbar’s Army and later on some parts were added by Maharaja Mirja Raja Jai Singh and Sawai Jai Singh. The palace complex is generously decorated and it shows the glory and splendor of rulers of Amber. It has a Sheesh Mahal or Palace of Mirrors, Diwan-e-Am or the Hall of Public Audience, Diwan e-Khas or the Hall of Private Audience with mosaic work in glass. On the TOp is Sukh mandir which is guarded by sandalwood doors inlaid with ivory. The heritage city of Amer was once the seat of power and was prosperous kingdom of kachwaha clan. Other places to see are Jagat Shiromani Temple, Narsinghji temple, the stepwell of Panna Meena and fine carved royal cenotaphs on the road to Delhi. KANAK VRINDAVAN and Govind deoji temple complex – ( on the way to Amer) – This recently renewed temple and garden, near Jal Mahal, has beautiful gardens and is popular picnic among indian tourists. VIDHYADHAR GARDEN - This beautiful garden is located on the way to Agra, designed by Pandit vidyadhar, the chief architect and town planner of Jaipur. This beautiful terraced garden is with beautiful galleries and pavilions decorated with exquisite paintings. SISODIA RANI GARDEN It is on the way to Agra, the magnificent palace and was built by Maharaja Sawai Jaisingh for his queen of Udaipur. It has beautiful surroundings, with stunning views of palace and views of arawalis. HAWA MAHAL or Palace of winds - constructed in 1799, by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, is among the most famous monument of Jaipur. The 5 storied lovely semi-octagonal monument having 152 windows latticed balconies It is a fine piece of Hindu architecture. Initially constructed for the royal ladies to see and relish the processions and other activities, on the busy markets side downwards. It has a very good museum which represants Jaipur’s Glorious past. DOLLS MUSEUM - It displays a beautiful collection of dolls from all over the Globe, it is situated on Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg. near J K Lon Hospital. 10.00 to 16.00 hrs, Phone: 2619369 JALMAHAL or Water Palace - (6 kms) It is on the way to Amer near Govind deo ji temple complex, popularly known as Kanak ghati. It is very famous spot for indian couples as there is a small palace in the middle of Lake Man Sagar. GAITOR - (6 kms) It is at the base of Nahargarh, and is cremation ground for the royal family. This place has some beautifully carved cenotaphs in white marble. JAIGARH FORT - (15 kms.It is located on the hill top, while going towards Amber, It houses the world’s largest cannon on wheels- THE JAI VAN build during the period of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. It has a Long barrel of twenty feet and elephants pulled it in times. NAHARGARH FORT - (15 kms.) It is a fortress on the top of hill at 600 ft. above the city, This fortress was built in 1734. The Fortress has a beautiful palace – Manvendra palace and it has several water Baoris also. One was seen in Famous film by Amir Khan – Rang de basanti. The old city can be very easily seen by the walls, and a place very famous in tourists for Picnic. RTDC has opened very good restaurants here – Durg and padao which provides marvellous views of the city in night. GALTA temple and monkey valley - (10 kms.) This place is dedicated to Holy SUN GOD, and it has a natural spring from which water is coming – Gaumukh. It is a picturesque valley and according to ancient legend, Saint Galav, who is considered as son of God Brahma worshipped here, and because of him, River ganga appeared from the mountains.
