I just called in for my messages before going to work tomorrow and again I am so saddened by the number of new admittance who later on in the same message die. It saddens me because of the loving care patients receive at the end of their lives while on hospice. Sadly most people sign up at the very last minute. Wouldnt you want to receive free massages and have someone who does what I do -- bring you music and/or art supplies or sing to or with you or help you create your lifes legacy to leave to your loved ones? Wouldnt you want to die with dignity in your home rather than in a hospital? I have now worked for two hospices and can not say enough about the sensitive care they both give to their patients. I certainly will sign up for Hospice when its close to my turn to transition. Wherever you live theres a hospice near you. Please encourage your loved ones to use their services.
