I just dont believe his friends had ill intent , what would he gain for disposing the video the only thing I can see a lot of unnecessary harassment by the police, I think they was afraid for him to avoid the police from further harassment, when he got to his self his heart ruled to do what was right.now I would say he has scary friends,,,lol , i after reading the story ,I think the friends were more afraid then he.just my thoughts.
