I just encountered a spider that was about the size of a quarter. Unfortunately, being the only grown up in this house, it was my job to get rid of the stupid beast. After I composed myself and climbed down from the chair, I attempted to trap it with a bowl to dispose him outside. That did not work (little bugger was quick!). I feel guilty but I had to squish him. And by squish I mean jump on him repeatedly with my boots. I had to make sure he ceased to exist. One of us had to come out on top and thankfully it was me.
