I just feel like sharing a story with you right now. Its kind of long but its worth your while. I work for a cable company installing Tv, phone and internet for customers. And we all can have days where it seems like nothing is going as planned. Today I was having one of those days. I was having issues with installing the phone for my first job. And ended up being there for about 4 and a half hours. Luckily I got Christmas treats and a $20 tip from my customer merry Christmas =) I had also missed my next few job time frame because I took so long at my first one. Got to my next job 2 hours late and the customers werent home. I waited for 30 mins before I started to pull away. Right as I was the customers brother let me in and i started working. About fifteen minutes later my customer arrived back to his home. Both gentleman had very thick Spanish accents. Turns out they were Cuban. My customer explained his story to me. Matias is his name. While growing up in Cuba he worked as a suger cane field worker. He had the opportunity to go to America so he decided he would take it. But during the smuggling of the people to the U.S. They got caught. This man spent 12 years in a Cuban prison for trying to leave the country. And immediately he left prison he knew he was heading to America. Then came here and found a job that he llikes to do. 25 years later hes as happy as can be and is grateful for what he has. I share this story with you because there are so many people out there who can let circumstances bring them down. Anyone can achieve what they desire. Theres stories all over the place of people having a desire to do something they want and achieve it. Bravo man. Matias you inspire me to want to go out there and get it. He is 68 and totally active! Thank you for letting the day play out as necessary to experience new things and new stories
