I just had a really cool dinner with my kids. We had the opportunity to go out and chose to eat in at Hardees. We sat, and ate, and talked -- about EVERYTHING. If you know me or any of my kids, you know that could be anything from which president signed the order that took away the incandescent light bulbs to what the chemical NAME of water is (btw, its dihydrogen monoxide) to who designed the Statue of Liberty to who starred with Robin Williams in The Bird Cage. We were just finishing out meal when a man who was sitting at the table next to us got up to leave and he came over to our table. I thought he was going to criticize us for our volumn or our non-stop talking. Instead, he thanked me -- for teaching my kids to think. (He also knew that it was Nathan Lane that starred in The Bird Cage and the Eiffels first name was Gustove.) My kids and I realized AGAIN that people listen to what you say even when you arent talking to them.
