I just made a blueberry mandarin orange,and hazlenut crisp: Preheat oven to 325: butter a 12 deep dish or 8x8x2 pan filling: 5c.blueberries ( I used frozen) 3(Snack cup fruit, I used mandarine oranges, but you can use peaches, pears, etc.with juice) 1/4 c white sugar 2 tblsp corn starch 1 tsp lemon zest (or lemon or lime juice) mix well in a bowl pour into baking dish Crisp: mix together 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 c. flour 1/4 c. slivered hazlenuts ( or pecan pieces) 1/4c. Quaker oats 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg pinch salt 1/4 c. butter soft not melted. make sure to crush the butter well into the dry mixture so it melts to form the crispy texture when baked. Top the filling, patting to make even layer on fruit mixture Pop into oven for 45 mins. Serve hot or cold with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping Enjoy!
