I just made this recipe. Its cooling in the fridge now. So far, it tastes pretty good! The only change I made is that I used whole milk instead of fat free; we dont have any fat free and well, I figure it will have a better mouth feel with a bit of fat anyway. The only thing is, as usual, Linda and I find it too sweet. So, the next time we make it, we plan to cut the overall sweet by about a third, and reduce the sugar further and replace with Splenda or Stevia. Im thinking to drop it from 1/2 cup of sugar to the equivalent of 1/3 cup. To make the measurement easy, I am going to go with 1/4c of sweetener and 1/8c sugar. This will cut the sugar by 75%. It wont lower the overall carbs in in this by that high a margin though, because of the rice and milk that are in the recipe. I figure it will cut the overall carbs per serving by about 40% or so. I dont feel like doing all the math to figure it all out right now, but thats my best guess.
