I just posted/shared a video of Carrie Underwood singing How Great Thou Art (you have to be on my wall and scroll just below this post). It will bring chill bumps all over you. As an old friend used to say, If that doesnt get you on fire, your wood is wet. Im proud to have grown up in the environment of a good, Christian family, morals, standards, and also a family that wasnt so strict that we couldnt express ourselves, find ourselves and build our strength in who we were as individuals. Im also glad we were surrounded by an amazing family of musical talent, and the freedom of expression through music. When I see this video (again....go to my wall and scroll just below this post), the reason chill bumps come over me....is because we werent just brought up to believe in God. We were brought up to feel Gods presence in our lives. That just doesnt go away. God isnt just something you study or understand. God is a real being (not something), who we have a relationship with. And growing up in the bible belt (the buckle of the bible belt), it is a sure thing to know what Im talking about. I see the audience in this video and its all the top performers in Country Music. What most dont understand is that most of these amazing talented people got their start, their ability to perform, sing, etc., in the church growing up. Thats where Country Music gets its roots. Go to the video, listen to it, and see if you can resist sharing it. I couldnt. I had to share it because it was just too good for me to enjoy alone. Good morning to all my friends on Facebook. :)
