I just read Proverbs chapter 2. This is so good, so reassuring --- and so very important, to say the least. Curiosity is, needless to say, inherent in human nature & thats as it should be. It shows were healthy. How bleak it would be to have no curiosity, no craving for further knowledge. Yet w/our human limitations & frailties, that curiosity can lead us to become lost or ensnared, perhaps even to find ourselves in a place where no one wants to be. Its crucial to always look to God our Father and our Mother so that we never stop craving knowledge & learning yet always go with Gods guidance. We can fully trust God who does not us to be complacent, dull or stupid --- wants us to seek, to have that fire in our belly --- and will watch over us, guiding us to not get ensnared or lost. Proverbs 2 assures us that if we truly want & seek wisdom, Gods wisdom, we will have it. We must really want it & seek & strive for it. Reading this, I was reminded of Matthew 6:33, in which Jesus, in his Sermon on the Mount, tells us to strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, assuring us that, if thats what we first strive for, God who knows our needs will keep us in his hands. God our creator made us with free will and with intelligence which he wants us to use. If we seek first Gods will, Gods love & goodness, God will care for & guide us. If we crave & seek wisdom (which Solomon in Proverbs 4 & 5 personifies as a woman describing her as the most incomparably beautiful & precious), Gods true wisdom, asking for God to guide us, we will gain wisdom. Proverbs 2 assures us of that, also telling us that its not cheap. We must strive for it.
