I just read that a high school teacher in Florida was fired because she was a bikini model in her off hours. As a former HS teacher, I know that kids will "google" their teachers names on the internet to see if they can find anything on them. In this day and age, you have to be careful. But, it also puts out the question, if she was a bikini model (no nudity) would that be the same thing? Kids in FLA see that much skin anytime they go to the beach or the pool. So, should she have been fired for that? I still think yes she should because it is about respect in the classroom where learning happens but still, if there is a beautiful teacher and she gets a bikini modeling contract on the side, during her off hours, why is she/he held to a higher standard? interesting topic.
