I just realized that Im nobodys first mate anymore. Its a happy and a sweetly sad reality. I get to figure out how to be the Captain I choose to be. It was much easier being Captain when I sailed solo. So much easier. Sailing solo I wasnt an a-hole to myself, at all. Sailing solo isnt stressful for me...its peaceful and quiet. I LOVE it. Being a Captain of other people is a whole new area of growth for me. My goal is to not be an a-hole Captain. But Im going to be an a-hole at times. Its inevitable and I just have to be the best a-hole I can be. :) I get to learn how to teach (be clear about expectations) and communicate with my crew BEFORE I untie from the dock.
